Beginner friendly?

Hello, I'm going to start playing again, from 0 cus I can't remember any acc I had I used to have a file with them written down... and when I played it had another name so I dont even know if those acc still exists. 
The thing is I remember recommending this server a few years 2+ ago to a friend he played for few weeks but then said without donating the gap between fresh new player and veteran is impossible to get through. 
So I have few questions regarding this. 
1- How to make money as a new player ? Like when is the first time you can go hunting (I will most likely be playing Shaman as I tried it when was released on oficial and liked a lot.) -cus I will try to make money enough to buy a naked pris after leveling it.
2- Up until what lvl do I use item from NPC so I can save money for items from players only when really needed.
3- How is shaman in SoD? what level and items can I start making some money there?
Be honest now, how long it takes for someone who plays 3 to 5 hours a day to get one char to 13x? Weeks? Months?

Answering your questions:

1- The beginner quests give you gold and experience. You should follow the Quest Guide (https://wartale.com/quests/) and you will be able to have a little money. Besides the quests, you can press F10 > General and Scroll Down until you see the loot filter. Select only what you hope to find (gold, your spec items, cores, crystals, etc.). I started a new character recently and I got to level 108 without much effort in less than a week. About hunting, you will be able to do so at level 120 while doing "The Curse" party quest in Cursed Temple 3. Mostly you will pick up the sheltoms to sell in Personal Shops, or the offense and defense items to sell to the blacksmith. It might take a while, but you will be able to reach the legacy players in a few weeks withouth donating.

 

2- As I mentioned before, my new character used NPC items until I reached level 106. People sell low level items (9x ~ 12x) next to the clan master in Ricarten. If you do as I said (quests and picking up all the gold you can from the ground) you will be able to have a pretty decent gear by then.

 

3- Shaman is pretty good in SoD, because he has a high absorbtion and high AoE damage, although it has a low 1v1 damage to kill each round's boss. Unfortunately, you will only be able to go SoD when you are 12x probably, because at round 5 you will face monsters from level 115 exp map.

 

I'd say you would be able to reach 13x in a month (or maybe two) by playing 3 to 5 hours daily.

 

My suggestions:

 

I - Once you understand Wartale's mechanics, quests, skills, etc, you can sell Exp Service. People usually buy 1 trillion exp (about 11 Death Island Quests, which take around 5 hours to complete all of them) for 400 coins. You can buy a 132 naked character for about 2.000 coins (https://wartale.com/forums/topic/88917-shaman-132-nkd-offer-in-coins/), so in five or six days you will be able to buy a DIQ eligible character just by exping other players. To learn about Wartale, you can PM MecaSlug in game. He sometimes streams Wartale's gameplay from time to time, such as Boss Hunting, Secret Laboratory grinding and Death Island Quests.

 

II - Since there will be a few new players to the server since the end of TLK, you will find low level parties pretty easily. Try to join a clan and grind together, which makes the game more pleasant and enjoyable.

 

III - 1.000 coins cost 9,99 euros, which is not that big amount. If you do the Exp Service and Donate 1kc you will probably be able to get a 133 character full (https://wartale.com/forums/topic/88997-ms-133-31/). With the character in the link I sent, you will easily be able to hunt in Cursed Temple 3 and also lure in Death Island Quest.
