well Maximize does give u dmg boost,but yeah if u wanna use MA skill ( Metal Armor ) then don't lvl up Maximize.

Right now the trade off for maximize is pitiful. You should stay with ma/pa since it's actually useable.

Mag sphere is also really good for hunting and pvp. It does do some damage. I have had my mag sphere get final hit on people before, it's funny shit.

Also keep in mind that comp only affects what it hits when cast, so cast it often. If used well in BC then you wont ever get stunned or frozen.
