Fortitude or Vitality Mix for gloves?

Defense is the most important stat for a Knight. Go with wathever mix yields more defense.

My gauntlets, I made a point of putting fortitude.

And in the future the 140 also.

Both mixes are quite similar - Fortitude gives more Defense & MP, Vitality adds HP with less defense. I guess the focus should be more on defense than +45 HP? The nice thing about Fortitude is that it gives more MP for LS...  I tend to see more vitality mixes than fortitude mixes... and got confused.

The diff between sol mixes is that vitality gives +45 hp, while fortitude gives 65 more defence than vitality ( main diff).

 

Im using vitality on my knight, can you explain what difference +65  deff does?

( Compared to enemy AR mostly, )

 

( With drastic +80 deff in total, in avarage , +1 abs can be counted).

Wouldn't the chances of getting 1 more absorb is higher with Vitality mix (40 HP = 1 abs)?

1. In formulas, they mean +40 points in vit=1 abs, not hp from mixes.

2.I said the diff, 1 has 160, 1 has 225, 65 diff between the added deff (  almost 80 with +22% drastic, and+ 80 deff, is like +0.8 abs, +1 abs on avarage).

I just tried a saphire fortitude mix on my hellgaunt..lets see if defense matters than Hp points.
