Trying to respec my pickaxe following the official guide, but just shows the error: This is not a valid combination.

Also, another question. If I upgrade this iron pickaxe to the stronger versions, does it retains the spec?

need a sigel / super sigel, the guide image are wrong, what a absurd right?

You are missing a Sigel. It takes one of each of the 5 respec stones now.

 

if you craft the new one, i think the spec id the same as the character you used to craft, and it won’t keep anything. It is a New roll
