I used to play when I was 16, and now I'm getting back into it at 32.

I used to play as FS and it was a good balance between surviving well and having attack power. But I've also played as KS. How's the balance on this server in terms of PVP and leveling? What would you recommend for my melee playstyle?

i just came back to the game and i would say from my memory its pretty balanced overall.  some classes obviously are better in PVP but weaker in leveling vice versa. go for KS if you want something that has balance for both tankiness and damage. FS would be way more of raw power for damage output.

KS is very relaxed to play in PvE because of his tankiness. His damage is good as well.

In PvP, he's okay, but he's one of the weakest classes in the game. He has too little HP and is too slow and his Dmg is bad. The staff has nerfed him patch after patch, and nobody really knows why. He's still playable, but there are many other classes that perform much better in PvP.

 

FS is good in PvE, but he isn't very tanky. You'll have to pay close attention to staying alive.

In PvP, it's a bit more complicated. It's not a class that everyone knows how to play. His damage is insane. It's a high-risk, high-reward class that can get a lot of kills but also dies a lot.

KS is boring. Go with 1 fs + 1 prs buff.

I’ve spent 80% of my playtime as an FS. Thanks for the advice. I’m going to create an FS character with the nickname PHZ. Could you give me a quick rundown of the path to take to get up to speed with the game's new mechanics? I’m looking for the best routes for efficient progression, as well as info on maps and quests. Also—if it’s not too much to ask—could you recommend a clan that would be a good fit for me right now, or help me join one?

As a returning player, you'll probably have a lot of fun with the game up to around level 120. After that, though, progression can start to feel much slower. Leveling takes a lot more time, finding parties becomes harder, and hunting bosses can be difficult.

 

Most players I know who started from scratch followed a similar path, they played until around level 120 and then decided to buy a level 140+ character.

 

Of course, everyone's experience is different. Give it a try and see how you feel once you reach level 12x.

Honestly best way to go considering the account prices now. the 12x-15x grind is ultra tedious. Just work a full day at macdonalds and you could buy a 15x char full xD

I'm not the best person to ask about market prices but you can check out the accounts section in the marketplace on forums. you can change your nickname for 500c so no worries for that
