I understand that it's possible to fail after +8, but what about breaking? Does breaking start after +8 as well or does it start at higher age levels??

Yeah. The chance of failure includes de-age and breaking. As long as you have copper ore, dont worry about losing your items but your items might get de-age =D IMO, Aging Stone >>> Copper Ore =D

I see. Is there still a chance at getting a +2 on this server? I haven't gotten one yet and the Guide doesn't say anything on it.
